One of those games that makes less-than-stellar components work for it. See the dragon in the bottom right corner? Scary. It’s no more than you’d expect from a game like this, but not really less either. You need to sort some cards, sort some different tokens into their respective piles, and then set up the board with the tokens in the right spot. When the dragon attacks, you pull chits from the bag to see who took the damageĪbout a medium level of setup, nothing out of the ordinary. It’s less about bashing and more about stealing, and getting away with it. It captures a feeling of sneaking through a dungeon for loot, like Munchkin or Dungeon or Dungeon Roll, but there are no real monsters besides the bad old dragon. This is not the most in-depth strategic game, nor the one for the most serious gamers, but it’s strategic to where it’s not for non-gamers either. It seems like you could go through the game in 60-90 minutes with more experience, though of course, I don’t know if the game will hold up through that many plays, as it only has so much going on (though it has an expansion now). We got through a game in a couple of hours with 4 of us playing, 2 of us for the first time and none of us with a ton of experience. I appreciate that it’s easy to learn, and compared to a lot of stuff we play, it’s fairly quick. You’re a treasure-stealing thief type with your aim to be the one to get the most loot from the dragon’s treasure trove.Ī fun romp through a dungeon! This is a really good game, in the light and fun category, a bit like Colt Express in its overall tone. It’s a deck-building game with a dungeon map, treasure, and a fearsome dragon. But in the aftermath of a terrible battle, the island has lain dormant and abandoned for ages-until the return of an ancient enemy causes the dracthyr to stir. With only a couple of hours left for gaming after advancing our epic Pathfinder adventure, we were able to play through a game of Clank!: A Deck-Building Adventure (2016) and it was great fun. Located off the coast of the Dragon Isles, the Forbidden Reach was fashioned by Neltharion the Earth-Warder to serve as a training ground for his ultimate soldiers, the dracthyr.

It is also here that the bronze dragonflight watches over the timeways, ensuring both the past and future of Azeroth remains secure.

The seat of power for the Aspects and their flights, Thaldraszus stands as the shining beacon of the dragons' kingdom. Tribes of gnolls and furbolgs call these ancient lands home. Holding the magical archives of the blue dragonflight, the Azure Span stretches from coastal tuskarr villages through a sprawling forest tundra, all the way to looming spires of ice and snow. But since the death of Ysera, the green dragons face an uncertain future. These verdant grasslands are home to the mighty Maruuk centaur tribes, who long ago forged a bond with the green dragonflight. Here, Wrathion will call upon Azeroth's champions to help him reclaim the black dragonflight's citadel from enemy hands. On invitation by Alexstrasza, heroes of the Horde and Alliance arrive to aid the red dragonflight in this vibrant, roiling land. As the Dragon Isles awaken, so too do old feuds and long-dormant threats. When the world was broke apart in the Great Sundering, magic drained away and the land went dormant. The Dragon Isles are the ancestral home of the dragonflights of Azeroth.

As you explore and conquer additional challenges all over the Dragon Isles, you will unlock even more customization options for your Dragon Isles Drakes.
